Film Review: Stephen King's Desperation

It is hard to believe the duo behind the television version of The Stand and The Shining were responsible The desperation of this disaster of a movie. Based on the original novel by Stephen King (who also wrote the script) tells the story Despair a group of wayward travelers who are abused and imprisoned by the sadistic police officer of the City of Despair Collie Entragian (Ron Perlman). Gradually begin Entragian understand that has been taken by a centuries old pagan god with the name of Tak, that the body hops from one person to another without any particular reason. In the time travelers have joined (which includes Tom Skerritt, Steven Weber, Annabeth Gish, Charles Durning, and Matt Frewer, to name a few) Entragian / Tak has killed everyone the people.
What follows is a film by the number of TV King with little imagination and even less emotion or action as the first travelers trapped in the police station later in an abandoned theater and then to the battle of Tak in the excavation where he woke up without realizing it. The plays second dirty at all, since the Red Rose of The Tommyknockers The Langoliers with a little imagination more than any of those films had. Having directed several of the most beloved novels of Stephen King you think that Mick Garris had brought the same drive to this project as it did with the base or Journey to the darkness, but This film is full of things that we have already seen and experienced before.
The greatest harm will Perlman disappears in the middle of the movie when Tak is with his body and has to go to another (although for some reason keeps Tak Perlman's voice). Perlman is the only person given anything to play in the film as the rest the cast are just a showcase with a lot of sense in the overall scheme of the film.

There is no other name that is associated both with the modern horror novel as the master himself, Stephen King.
