European football is having a tremendous impact in Nigeria, captivating the minds and the attention of football fans, young and young at heart, affecting the way Nigerians relax and unwind, and raising opportunities Business for clever entrepreneurs.

Some fans are strong in their support for the clubs they love. Come see the campaigns in Nigeria to these clubs before a crucial game. Sometimes it is fanatical. And in many cases gives rise to quarrels and fights between supporters of different clubs in Europe.
The support of the clubs sometimes go beyond the ordinary. Sometimes, emotions are high. The big names are Manchester United, Barcelona, Chelsea, Arsenal, Real Madrid, AC Milan, and others. For those football clubs, their images loom large in Nigeria, and fans that have large fans that are ready to trade blows, fight, or engage in heated arguments in support of their clubs. Two European clubs to the biggest crowd of supporters in Nigeria are the Manchester United (Man U) and Chelsea. And the curious observer of the profile of these fans will see a distinction clear or stratification in terms of social class, education, income and power. How?

And after any gain for this football club, you hear the cries of, Man U for life! by enthusiasts. This is followed by crowds of the boardrooms of beer and pepper in the soup Most cities in Nigeria to celebrate the victories. When they gather there and the fans enjoy the victory, you'll hear many stories about the troubled party; tell all kinds of rigorous analysis and discourse of the game that has just been played. After each major party, there are plenty of stories of football in Nigeria.
Chelsea on the other hand has total control of the masses, the lower class, street kids, the park motor dealers, unemployed youth and street urchins known as poplularly kids area in the metropolis of Lagos, Nigeria. They are more in number, are fanatical in their support for Chelsea, and even willing to die by the team.
Whenever man faces Chelsea in U of a large party, there is tension in Lagos, even before the match day. UEFA Cup limit for 2007 or 2008 (I am not sure of the year now) between Man U and Chelsea was a storm in a teacup in Lagos.
Seven days before the game, the tension was palpable in Lagos. Who will win the match? The big question provoked intense discussions throughout the city and sometimes resulted in fights before the game between man U and Chelsea supporters in Nigeria. Sports newspapers picked up the pace as they soaked fans from both clubs with interviews, news and reviews very favorable for the preparation of the clubs, the fitness of the players and the final game strategies.
Man U will win, Man U are for life! Supporters of the club are sung to the chagrin of the Chelsea fans who respond to cries with Chelsea up! Chelsea supporters of Lagos, more than the man U singers life. Chelsea fans are everywhere, most in the streets, markets and motor parks. More than 80 percent of commercial bus drivers Lagos Chelsea fans are die-hard. And they are very strong. You can launch the wisdom and fight anywhere with bottles, rocks, dangerous objects, especially if they are high on snuff and smelling of alcohol.
Not so with men supporters U. They are more cultured, better educated and work in collar jobs blue collar and white. They are softer and refined in the behavior of football fans but also their support for Man U, thus the slogan, Man U for Life, a clear indication that are unwilling to change their European Club brand loyalty, if man is winning or not. And in many cases, Man U wins.
Back to the final epic Man U / Chelsea. Twenty-four hours for the match, the entire city of Lagos was drowned with the fever of the game. There were unconfirmed reports of clashes between supporters of both clubs in different parts of Lagos. Drivers of buses and drivers struggled, radio stations rent the air with the pre-game reviews and interactive programs for listeners to present their views on the outcome of the match.

Chika The youngest boy is always on the receiving end. If Liverpool win Chelsea or Barcelona, the child is in trouble. Siblings adults can even if I force you or your mother is not. On one occasion, ran after him to beat him up, and started to run to me for ransom. I did. If Chelsea lose, Oh! Come and see the fun of older siblings. In that situation, usually placate Chika, ensuring that Chelsea will win another day. Such is the impact of European football in Nigeria families, sometimes family members polarization.
European clubs not only taking place in Nigeria. The Players are also venerated. Big names like Didier Drogba, David Beckham, Merci, Cristiano Ronaldo, Ronaldinho and many others are revered. Not only are big names Football in Nigeria, that are idols. Nigerian youths see them as symbols of status and role models. The average teenager Nigeria has large images of European football superstars stuck in their rooms. Nigerian youths know the movement and transfer fees in European football stars much more Nigeria that also soccer stars playing in European clubs.
The history of European football brands is not just a game. It is also business. People play before games, some even go into the betting. Displaying centers are springing up all over Lagos equipped with flat screen TV and wireless channels cable television. Match accessories are displayed on the board planted on the sidewalks of the street to the attention of passersby. These centers collect door to fans they want to watch football matches.
Some hotels and teams have joined the Fray to show such hospitality events to attract more sponsorship. Many of them on match days to carry out the flat screen TV outdoor games to watch free. But watching the game every employer is obliged to buy drinks.
But the display centers are running into trouble now with DSTV, the cable TV company in Africa that has the franchise to broadcast these matches football on the African continent. DSTV want to see schools to pay fees or royalties to the company because they charge money from football fans party. The position of the cable company is that the channel is for in-home subscribers, and if the employer charges money for the vision, the person or company has to pay something for DSTV. The display centers are crying poor, saying that they squeeze out of business. A showdown is imminent.

It is a great business. Y there are many journals dedicated exclusively to soccer. They come in different shades of the tabloids, are cheaper than major newspapers, and are very frequented by young soccer fans to track the fortunes of their favorite players and clubs. However, club loyalty does not stop them to love any player, and sometimes the player's desire love logon their favorite clubs. Merci, the young Barcelona player is loved by young Nigerian. They like their small size and business moves in the field. this talented young Nigerian boy Argentine soccer sense. Same for the Brazilian Ronaldinho.
And so every time you see the European football in the air, we know that fever is very strong in Nigeria.
